Look into his eyes

10 Minute Daily Retreat - Read the Daily Gospel with a prayerful heart.
By Malcolm Davies (No.164)
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 12:1-7
Why, every hair on your head has been counted. There is no need to be afraid: you are worth more than hundreds of sparrows.’

One of our children would only agree to be bottle fed if I was looking into his eyes at the same time. If I tried to watch TV or have a conversation with someone else he would begin to yell out. I learn to focus totally on him and he knew he was being cared for.

That is the kind of relationship we can have with our God who looks into our eyes and says ‘I love you’.

Look into your Father’s eyes

Jesus loves us and gives us the grace to be in relationship with him. We can only be truly and deeply in communion with Him after we have had an experience of His mercy and forgiveness.

God has created us just for this relationship.
